The address of the Circular was made on behalf of John Savage, C.E.F.B., who was ill. Contents include resolutions made at a Convention of the Fenian Brotherhood held in England, after an unsuccessful attempt at a revolution in Ireland. Representatives from Ireland, England and Scotland attended. An American, Lawrence Farley, Jr., traveled to this Convention and returned home with the resolutions. Additionally reports from a Committee from a Congress held in Cleveland are presented. Lastly, Mr. Savage requests that officers ascertain the strength of their Circles and report their findings immediately to the Central Office in New York.
Ledger in which the first section lists city names with numbers. Unclear what the numbers represent, but they are not in dollars so could be membership numbers within cities. The next section contains names, most of which list a mailing address. They are in alphabetical order. Inside of both the front and back covers addresses, names signatures, and memos are written. The earliest notation date appears to be 1869 and the last 1876.
